Network Rail – Capex Project

Introduction

During the 2019/2020 Christmas period, Crewit Resourcing supported a client on a major Network Rail Capex project, successfully executing a blockade that included Platform Extension and UTX (Under Track Crossing) works in collaboration with the primary contractor. This project required intensive planning and precision to meet the critical timelines and operational standards of Network Rail.

Market Challenges

The project’s tight timeframe posed a significant challenge, as the client needed a substantial workforce of skilled laborers on short notice. The Christmas period, combined with the project’s urgent demands, made sourcing the necessary expertise even more difficult. Crewit was tasked with delivering a highly qualified team capable of working efficiently under these constraints.

Crewit Solution

Crewit Resourcing responded with a consultative, rapid-response approach, leveraging its vast network to supply over 130 skilled workers, covering more than 9,600 hours of labor. This workforce included machine operators, bricklayers, groundworkers, laborers, and additional essential personnel, all selected to ensure the project met its rigorous standards and timelines.

Crewit’s ability to mobilize a large team quickly allowed the project to be completed successfully, satisfying all stakeholders involved. The client received positive feedback across the board, a testament to Crewit’s commitment to delivering quality, reliable solutions even in time-sensitive and high-stakes scenarios.
