Apprenticeship Expo, Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim
We were delighted to attend the recent Apprenticeship Expo at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, a brilliant day full of energy, curiosity, and meaningful conversations.
Throughout the event, our team had the chance to speak with a wide range of people, from students exploring their next step after school, to parents and guidance counsellors looking for clear pathways, to educators and employers eager to understand how the apprenticeship landscape is evolving.
What stood out most was the genuine appetite for information:

- Young people wanting to know what options are available through apprenticeships beyond the traditional paths
- Teachers and careers advisors looking for fresh ways to present apprenticeships as viable, long-term career routes
- And companies eager to share their own experiences and learn how to better support and attract talent through structured training programmes
The event provided an important snapshot of where apprenticeships stand in Ireland today, and where they’re headed. There’s a clear shift happening: apprenticeships are increasingly recognised as dynamic, future-ready career routes, not just alternatives to university.
We’re proud to be part of that shift. At Crewit, our apprenticeship programme is designed to meet people where they’re at, providing real, practical training that leads to long-term employment in sectors like construction, engineering, and logistics.
And this Expo showed us that there’s more momentum than ever behind the apprenticeship movement.
The event was full of dynamic, forward-thinking conversations, all centered on building better futures through apprenticeships. What stood out the most were the engaging discussions with students, parents, educators, and industry professionals, all eager to explore how apprenticeships can pave the way for success in the evolving world of work.
