As Ireland’s newest Rose of Tralee and a dedicated electrical apprentice, Katelyn represents the future of skilled careers.
Before she took the stage as this year’s Rose of Tralee, Katelyn Cummins was already standing out for all the right reasons. Katelyn caught our attention long before the rest of Ireland fell in love with her charm, determination and drive.
At Crewit, we first connected with Katelyn after she was crowned the Laois Rose. Working in a traditionally male-dominated field, she quickly became a role model for other young women considering apprenticeships. Her passion, positivity and down-to-earth personality made her stand out and we saw in her the same values that define Crewit, hard work, passion and community. We didn’t just want to cheer her on, we wanted to support her as true believers in her story.
With two years left in her Electrical Apprenticeship, there is no sign of Katelyn slowing down. Between plans to travel and her ambition to purse a master’s in engineering, she continues to show what’s possible when skill meets ambition. She’s not only breaking stereotypes and inspiring younger generations but proving that apprenticeships aren’t just a job, they’re a pathway to confidence, opportunity and success.
Throughout the competition, Katelyn represented Laois and apprentices across Ireland with grace, humour and authenticity earning her the well-deserved title Rose of Tralee and making history as the first-ever Rose from Laois to win.
