Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects? Our client is seeking a highly skilled professional to join their team and oversee the successful execution of a large-scale project in Co. Dublin.

As Construction Project Manager you would be responsible for planning, executing and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating all aspects of construction activities, managing stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop project plans, schedules and budgets
    • Allocate resources effectively, including labour, materials and equipment
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers and consultants to finalise designs and specifications
  2. Project Execution:
    • Oversee construction activities to ensure progress aligns with the project plan
    • Manage subcontractors, vendors and on-site personnel
    • Monitor and control project costs to prevent overruns
  3. Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address issues and ensure smooth communication
    • Manage expectations and resolve disputes or delays
  4. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and industry standards
    • Conduct site inspections to identify and mitigate risks
    • Verify compliance with building codes, permits and environmental guidelines
  5. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Track progress against milestones and adjust schedules as necessary
    • Prepare and present reports on project performance to stakeholders
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably in commercial, residential, or industrial
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and construction technology tools
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
    • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
    • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials and processes
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
  • Experience managing multi-million-euro construction projects
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green certifications (e.g., LEED)
