Civil Engineer – Project Manager

A leading engineering consultancy based in Co. Kilkenny is seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager with a passion for road, public realm, and transportation projects. Key Responsibilities:
As part of the team, you will collaborate with directors and senior staff to:
- Lead project management tasks, including documentation, progress reporting, and coordination.
- Perform feasibility assessments and generate innovative scheme options.
- Prepare and review detailed designs, cost estimates, and specifications using advanced tools such as Civil 3D or MX Roads.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Administer construction contracts, ensuring budgets and schedules are met.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tenders and sub-consultant engagement.
- Participate in Road Safety Audits and Inspections (training provided).
- Implement Quality Assurance procedures to maintain high standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 9 Master’s Degree is advantageous).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil engineering/roads/public realm/transportation projects.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) accredited by Engineers Ireland is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of TII Publications, DMURS, and other relevant design standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and alignment design tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
